This digital illustration is based off of an image of Santiago, Chile. I was inspired as I visited Chile a few years ago, and found it beautiful. I began by sketching a general version of the illustration, and determining the perspective. I ended up changing the perspective slightly to better emulate that of the image. While creating the digital design, I focused on applying organic shapes and textures to ensure it felt dynamic. 

I worked from the background to the foreground, progressively increasing saturation to create an atmospheric perspective. I changed the clouds multiple times, playing with opacity to create a more natural look. The final shows movement and depth through both color and value.
